My oil has become thick or solid — is something wrong?

Not at all — it’s just the coconut oil doing its thing!
Because we use pure, cold-pressed oils without synthetic stabilisers, your product might firm up a
little in cooler weather.
To help it along:
- Warm the bottle between your hands
- Keep it in a toasty spot
- Or place the bottom of the bottle in warm water briefly (just be sure no water gets inside)
It’ll soon return to its silky best.

I didn’t receive a paper invoice with my order — can I get one?

To reduce waste and stay kind to the environment, we don’t include paper invoices in our packages.
But if you’d like one, we’re more than happy to help — just flick us an email at info@akari.co.nz and
we’ll send it through.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes, it sure is! Wherever possible, we use recyclable materials — including glass bottles, aluminium
spa-size packaging, and minimal outer packaging.
We’re always looking at ways to tread lighter on the earth while still keeping your products safe and
beautiful.

How long does shipping take? Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do! We’re based in New Zealand and happily ship both locally and overseas.
Delivery timeframes can vary depending on where you are — we’ll always process and send your
order as quickly as we can, and you’ll receive tracking details once it’s on its way.

Are your products vegan?

Yes — our entire range is proudly vegan and cruelty free.
We use plant-based ingredients and never test on animals. Simple, natural, and kind — just the way
we like it.

Do you test on animals?

Absolutely not — and we never will.
We believe in care without cruelty, and our ingredients and finished products are never tested on
animals. We’re here to nurture skin and wellbeing, not harm our furry friends.

Are your products safe to use during pregnancy or while undergoing treatment?

Many of our customers have used our products during pregnancy or while going through medical
treatment, including Audrey’s Skin Repair Serum, which was originally created to support skin after
radiation therapy.

That said, everyone’s journey is unique — so we always recommend checking with your GP, midwife,
or specialist before use, just to be safe.

Do your products contain artificial fragrance or alcohol?

Nope — never. We only use pure essential oils to create our beautiful natural aromas, and we don’t
include alcohol or synthetic fragrance in any of our formulas.
What you’re smelling is nature’s perfume at its best — calming, gentle and completely real.

Can your products be used on sensitive skin?

Yes — they sure can. In fact, many of our customers first found us because they were struggling with
sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin.
Our formulas are made with gentle, natural ingredients and no harsh additives, so they’re kind to
even the most delicate skin types.
As with anything new, we always suggest doing a little patch test first — just to be extra sure your
skin says yes.

When can I use Audrey’s Skin Repair Serum on scars?

You can start applying it to healed scars once your doctor gives you the go-ahead.
We always recommend checking with your GP or specialist first — especially after surgery or
treatment. Once it’s safe to use, our serum is a gentle, nourishing way to support your skin’s natural
healing.
